Chakki modh चक्की मोड़  is situated in Himachal Pradesh. After enjoying speedy ride of himalayan expressway and parwanoo there is a place timber trail. From timber trail it will take another 15-20 minute to reach chakki mod. There is a small river in the chakki mod with cold water. This place is very beautiful and have its own charm. 

This  place is really ideal for people who are searching for a place for weekend outing and masti, specially near Chandigarh, who don't have much time.

it is a place where you can go by 11am or 12noon and can come back by 5pm with so much of fun and enjoyment. i will say it is best for those people who cannot leave early for the trip but still wanted to come back early. we all have these kind of people around, in the form of relatives of friends like me. :P 

Distance- its around 45km from chandigarh.

Places which can be cover- Kali Mata mandir Kalka, Timber Trail.

One can go to kali mata mandir situated in kalka and for going there take left turn before the Himalayan express way. Their is a sign board showing pinjore. after crossing pinjore there is a very old temple of kali mata.

How to reach there- After crossing timber trail there is a small road going down on the right side. There are some shops and dhaba there.

Road is narrow and not in a good condition but drive-able. That diversion will take you to the bridge below from where one can see the river flowing. After going forward there will come another bridge where it is written on board "is nadi me nahana mana hai".

From that bridge one can take a diversion on right which will take you to the river bed.

The place is really beautiful with so many rocks placed in a manner like they are inviting you to sit on them.

 One can sit on those rocks while legs in chilled water while having your drinks and eatable.

It is advised not to go in the middle of river as water level rise suddenly sometimes, otherwise there is not much water except monsoons. It is advise to remain at the shore of river. In monsoon season water level and flow increases which is risky.

Another thing which i should note is that so many people come here for enjoying (mainly youngsters) carrying beer n other drink. you'll find pieces of glass all around here and there. on rocks in water and everywhere. so one should keep their eyes wide open. because it can cause injury. (maja will be saza)

You'll find bottles packets of chips polythene everywhere, those who are planning to visit here should respect the mother nature by keeping the river clean.
